Talent Show

The Live Arts Showcase has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 4th at 8:20 a.m. at a rescheduled chapel and Thursday evening, March 4th at 7:00 p.m.

The ultimate effect of missions work is, in the long run, truly inestimable.

I'm sure that the team that went to Jamaica can attest to this. The work that they've done in Jamaica has touched lives and continues to touch lives. A new kitchen, an addition, or a house for one person can become a heavenly stronghold. Every day that that person wakes up in that building, he or she is reminded of the goodness of God. And God can use that further than we can imagine to advance His kingdom. That single testimony can create a rippling effect and touch millions of others.

I was especially encouraged to hear how the companionship our Jamaica team gave some of the young boys in prison the will to pursue Christ in that dark place. Just imagine the implications! Praise the Lord.

Hey Everyone,

So, this week for chapel Pastor Rob came and spoke about faith. He really emphasized the necessity of faith in order to have relationship with God. God doesn't just give us all the answers and tell us how things are gonna turn out. He doesn't drop down a to-do list from heaven that instructs us on all of what He expects from us (doesn't that sound great?). No, instead He asks us to come to Him in faith; to seek Him with the assurance that He will answer and provide in His own timing. He doesn't want servants, He wants sons!

1/28/10 Excellence in Faith

Wow, although we're a week into it, I still can't believe the new semester has started already! This is the last lap, Seniors! I encourage you all to really work hard and do your best. You want to graduate with a transcript you can be proud to send off to colleges and scholarship programs. Finish strong.

As I said in chapel, the focus for this February is Excellence in Faith. This follows J-term so well. Many of you made a confession of new or renewed faith at our showcase last week. Don't forget it! Excellence in faith can be a really hard thing. There will always be points in your walk with Christ where you feel beat down. Don't be intimidated by those low times. Take advantage of them. Then is the perfect opportunity to test your faith and grow in Christ. Push through and stay committed.
