SLC is more than student government or a power trip during high school. The people on the SLC really care about Delmarva and we hope to communicate that to you through this blog.
It is easy to go to God with our problems, the things we want, hope for, and the situations we would like to change. As a result in the craziness of life it is easy to forget to thank God each day for what he has given us. Thanksgiving is a special time of year, which allows us to really focus on the ways God blesses us. However, each day we should find something to thank God for. If you were to write down at least one way God has blessed you each day, by the end of the year you would be able to look back at 365 blessings. Doing this allows you to see God working in your life every day; it helps you take notice of things you may not have seen before. We would never forget to thank someone for a gift; therefore we should surely not forget to thank God who has given us everything.

Directions from the North: Take Rt. 113 South, follow Rt. 26 through town and turn right onto Rt. 20 (Armory Rd.), continue on Armory Rd. for approximately 5 miles. Turn right on Frankford School Rd. The field is about one mile down on your right.
Faith is not a last name. It is not something you get because you go to a certain school, attend a particular church, know the right people, or can say the right things. Faith is not dependent on any of these things. Faith is something personal between us and God. He is the one who gives us faith. We have to want it though. As pastor Rob said it is our responsibility to get faith. We have to be willing to let go of our will and trust God. Faith is by no means easy to get. However at the darkest times in our lives if we even have a small amount of it, God can use it to move mountains and maybe even change a few lives.

Come and enjoy an evening of Fall fun at the Embleton Farm. Bonfire, Hayrides, and fun activities. Hot Dogs and Sodas will be supplied. Please bring a favorite snack or food to contribute. Please plan on coming and enjoying an evening of fun with your fellow teammates.

The DCHS SLC is made up of four groups. School Spirit, Spiritual Emphasis, Social Coordination, and Community Outreach. Each one of these groups is made up of students from each grade level and a staff adviser. If you are interested in joining the SLC contact one of the staff advisers.
