Paintball THIS Weekend!

SLC is sponsoring Paintball this weekend!

Our last event was SO much fun.

Please come out and join in this time!

Time: 10am to 3pm

Location: Pro-Action Paintball

Frankford School Rd., Roxanna

$30 - Includes paintball gun, mask, all day air & 500 paintballs
$20 - If you have your own equipment - Includes all day air & 500 paintballs

Prizes to be hidden on the field for players to find!

Food and drinks will be available at the field!

NOT limited to DCHS students - Bring your family and friends!

Directions from the north: Take Rt. 113 South, turn left at Dagsboro Royal Farms store onto Rt. 26, turn right at the light in town and follow Rt. 26 through the NEW light in town turn right at the next light onto Rt. 20 (Armory Rd) drive for about 5 miles and turn right onto Frankford School Rd, the field is about a mile down on the right hand side.

Prayer - Talking to God

What? Talking to God? Have you considered the implications of saying that you can just talk to God whenever you want to; that He listens when you speak? Who is God and why does He care what you have to say? This is perhaps the most profound concept of Christianity. Being able to talk to the Creator of the Universe says a ton about who we are. We've got to be pretty special. No other religion in the world places that kind of value on a human being. We are important to God. He is interested in all of the insignificant details of our lives. That's just crazy. Think on it.

This week, Pastor Jimmy had some great things to say about prayer. One thing in particular was his point that, while we are be able to talk to God from anywhere, at any time, that does not nullify or replace the value of getting alone with Him. We still need that time - that quiet time of prayer. Set time aside to hang out with God. Even Jesus set time aside to pray! If He needed that time, how can we live without it?

Announcements:

The Royal Ball is coming up on May 7th. Ladies, make sure you sign up to get your dresses checked in time to make any necessary changes. If changes are needed, you must get your dressed checked a second time. Tickets are $40

This week we will be having SAT10 testing and dance and etiquette training.
