Welcome Back

Wow it is great to see everyone after J-Term. I hope you all had an excellent time and were able to truly focus on God without the distractions of a regular school semester. I know that J-term was a good challenge for me. I was able to pinpoint some areas of my life that I need to change and I'm excited to continue that process.

I'm sure that most of you are like me in the sense that you have every intention of keeping a commitment but have trouble talking about it or think it is dumb after a while. Or you give into temptation once and feel like you have let God down and you want to give up. To avoid those feelings and decisions we are going to start holding optional accountability meetings that everyone is invited to.
Ecc. 4:12 is God's instruction that, "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Therefore if you want to withstand the devil's temptations you need to have at least one or two people that you can confide in. I will give you more information about where these meetings will be held and what will happen at the meetings. But for now please find an accountability partner and begin to pray with them. If you don't know anyone that you could ask to be your partner come and find me at lunch or send me a comment to the blog and I'll try to help you with that.

On another note. In February the SLC is hosting a Coffee House in the gym lobby. It will be from 6:00pm- 9:00pm on February 14th and is totally free. It will be very laid back with some coffee, snacks, board games and cards. Just a nice time to sit down, talk, and have fun. Hope you can come.

Any questions feel free to approach me personally or post a comment.
Thanks,
Meg
