What Pastor Greg had to say this week was no picnic. He really challenged us to be intent about relating to God rightly. Obedience to His will is not an option in this relationship. It's so ironic that we tend to rely on grace to get us out of the obedience part of salvation. We know that God is all loving and merciful, so of course He'll forgive us when we ignore Him. But then we are ignoring the very purpose of grace; to bring us into right relationship. Obviously, if we are avoiding the obedience issue, our goal is not right relationship. That's the root issue. Faith without works is dead, so disobedience says alot of something about our faith.
