What an Amazing Week!

God has been moving at DCHS. Last week Pastor Ed DiBlasio spoke at chapel and told us about how the Lord has been working through his ministry on the streets of inner city Baltimore. Our home missions J-term team is going to have an opportunity to partner with Pastor Ed! What an opportunity for us to go out and minister to the hurting children. In Matthew 19:14 “Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

On Friday we hit the streets in our local community! In the first chapter of James we are instructed to look after orphans and widows and praise God we were able to just that. Mr. Sadler’s wife, Pam, works for New Covenant Church and put us in touch with several widows within their membership who really needed some help taking care of yard work.

After we had been out working all morning we came back together at DCHS for an afternoon of Spiritual Emphasis! The Holy Spirit moved through our praise and worship and helped to settle our spirits for an amazing message from Pastor Marc Hannah. He taught us ways to overcome our fears and practical ways to witness to people. He cautioned us that Satan wants to steal our voices and he uses our worldly desires to do it. Remember this. “How much ______ in your life is too much?” Are you willing to put up with a little _____ in your life? How about in your cookies?

If you are interested in finding our more or visiting Pastor Marc’s Friday Night Fire pick up a card in the office.

Paintball on Saturday was fantastic! Check out the photos at slc.delmarvachristian.com
