Spirit Week Activities & Chapel

Monday was the start of a new and exciting week. It was the first day of spirit week and we began with a “Yee Haw”! On cowboy and cowgirl day everyone dressed up in their hats, boots, and bandannas to see who could make the best cowboy impression. Fashion disaster day was a mishmash of colors and creativity. Check out the photos on the blog!

Wednesday everyone dug through their closet and dressed in “Sunday Best” so that they could present themselves in a suitable way to worship God. Our chapel speaker, Mr. Shaun Fink, told us that if we acted like a Christian (like Christ) then we would be treated with respect. Sometimes we hear “If you want to be treated like an adult then act like one.” When someone says that to us we need to think about what we were doing or how we were acting that caused them to say that to us. If we act immature then we will be treated that way, but if we act with maturity then our age will no longer be a limiting factor.

The three main components of good communication are:

A Good Vocabulary

A Good Attitude

Being a Good Listener

If you want to be treated like an adult – start acting like one.

If you want to be treated like a Christian – start acting like one.

If you want to be known as a Christian – start acting like one.
