Summer reading has taken on a new meaning! The reading department at DCHS has revamped summer reading into a NEW points based system. The entire process of the NEW summer reading program will be introduced at Cafe BOOK, which will be held on April 7th in the gym lobby from 6 - 8:15pm.
During Cafe BOOK there will be a kid's reading corner, poetry readings, a story teller, a book fair, coffee and teas, and of course the introduction of the NEW points based summer reading program.
In preparation for Cafe BOOK DCHS is holding a book drive until April 3rd. We ask that you donate any books, DVDs, and/or CDs. The proceeds of the book fair and book drive will fund the prizes given to the students that earn the most points in the NEW summer reading program.
Cafe BOOK is going to be a wonderful family event, please bring all members of your families and enjoy! There will be something there for everyone.
